Parent & Family Giving offers a way to show pride in your Bruin and enhance the overall student experience by supporting any area across campus. Gifts can be designated for the Parents Fund or a specific academic department, campus resource, student club and more.

By giving to UCLA, you help bridge a gap between tuition and state support - which only covers a portion of the cost to fully educate a student.

Parents Fund

When you give to the Parents Fund, you provide the Chancellor with unrestricted support to allocate toward some of the university’s greatest needs. Your support bolsters meaningful priorities like scholarship, experiential learning, increased student programming and campus improvements.
Students’ Greatest Needs

The Students’ Greatest Needs fund supports all of the campus resources and activities outside of the classroom including the Career Center, RISE Center (supports mental health and mindfulness), Clubs & Intramurals, and the Bruin Resource Center.
Academic Support

Support your student’s experience inside the classroom, with a gift to their School/College or academic department. Gifts to their academic unit’s discretionary fund provides the Dean or Chair with the agility to address their most pressing needs, including: recruiting and retaining the most esteemed faculty, student research and performance opportunities, scholarship and fellowships, and more.
Undergraduate Scholarships

UCLA undergraduate students are awarded scholarships by demonstrating a high level of academic and personal achievement. Scholarships can provide students with gift aid that enables reduced borrowing or out of pocket costs. Many university scholarships are designed to reward, encourage, and assist students in pursuing academic excellence and leadership roles.

UCLA Chancellor’s Society

The Chancellor’s Society recognizes donors who are able to go above and beyond. These leadership donors support UCLA with an annual gift of $1,000+ and receive various donor courtesies depending on their giving level.

Chancellor’s Circle ($1,000 - $2,499)
Chancellor’s Associates ($2,500 - $4,999)
Chancellor’s Council ($5,000 - $9,999)
Chancellor’s Cabinet ($10,000+)

At the Circle level, donor courtesies include invitations to donor-appreciation events such as:

  • Chancellor’s Society Parent Reception at Family Weekend
  • Annual Chancellor’s Society Celebration on campus
  • Chancellor’s Bruin Game Day Parties before home football games at the Rose Bowl (there is a cost to attend)

UCLA Chancellor’s Cabinet

Parents who demonstrate their philanthropic leadership through a $10,000 annual gift are recognized as members of the Chancellor’s Cabinet.

As a Chancellor’s Cabinet donor, you will receive even more opportunities to connect deeply with fellow Bruin parents, alumni and the university itself. In addition to the courtesies above, this includes:

  • Invitation to Chancellor’s Society Cabinet Celebration Dinner
  • Invitation to Chancellor’s Society Bruin Woods Weekend, an all-inclusive three-day getaway at the UCLA Lake Arrowhead Lodge (there is a cost to attend)
