Dr. Khademhosseini, one of the world’s leaders in tissue engineering, will discuss how his work and his lab is integrating engineering and physical science principles with precision medicine to develop various types of materials, cells, and devices that utilize micro- and nanoscale technologies to enable a range of therapies for organ failure, cardiovascular disease, and cancer. Dr. Khademhosseini’s interdisciplinary research has been recognized by over 40 major national and international awards, including the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE), the highest honor given by the US government for early career investigators.
