DESCRIPTION:The West Los Angeles Chancellor’s Society and fellow UCLA alumni\, parents\, and friends will gather for an exclusive reception and presentation featuring special guest: \nAudra Langley\, Ph.D.\nProfessor\, UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior\nDirector\, UCLA TIES for Families \nUCLA TIES for Families: Optimizing the Development of Children in Foster Care and their Families\nFor 24 years\, UCLA TIES for Families has helped the development of foster children and their resource families by providing a range of top quality multidisciplinary mental health and auxiliary services\, developing unique programs for this population\, and providing high-quality local and national training to professionals and their families. Director Dr. Audra Langley will share information about this unique model of university-community collaboration that represents UCLA in serving children from birth to age 21 in foster or kinship care or adopted through foster care. Parents who have benefited from TIES services will also share what the program has meant to their families. \n  \nRSVP is by invitation only.
